Forum: etree Subject: Archive now on Internet2-- folks at Universities: are we faster?

Thanks to folks at NASA, CENIC, LC, Cornell, and IP Networks, the Internet Archive is now connected to Internet2 since last afternoon yesterday.

For those of you at I2 connected places (mostly universities), are your downloads faster? If you do a traceroute to www.archive.org you can see if you to over the commercial net or I2 (cenic will be in the path if it goes over I2).

I noticed an eyepopping ~2MB/s d/l at my I2-connected univ yesterday. Very nice, thanks! :)

BTW it's a classic I2-style path between us: maxgigapop> abilene> cenic
